Donna couldn’t really smile, not when she felt the way she did. Rose death hit her hard, harder than she really expected too. Donna considered her like a sister that she never got to have, and a friend that she didn’t deserve. Having seen Rose in action in more ways then one, she automatically knew that there was no way this had been a car accident. It couldn’t have killed her, there had to be more than that. It scared her to think something out there trying to keep torchwood agents. Or they were trying to get rid of the Doctors former companions. If that’s the case, then she needed to get someone to protect Mel or Kaylin. Especially if they intended on getting her next. Martha would need to know as well, but that could wait for now. “I don’t know about that Doctor, but I’m smart enough to out talk the British government.” Which is why is their Representative.
The cellphone message didn’t really help her enough, she needed to know more. Instead of just calling them, she put it away and explained to him their findings. Apart of her worried that he would flip cause she worked for Torchwood now. It never happened though, but she wouldn’t put it pass him to bring it up later on. Oh she was ready for that.
“How should I know? It’s not of earth origin Doctor, none of us know what it did to her.” Which was true, the lab was still trying to determine what really happen to her. Whoever did it, sure knew how to cover their tracks. “The only reason we know what it’s called cause we hacked into Unit’s database. Risky but we’ve got the best.” Smirking like she proud of the fact, then sobered up. “I could be used for murder if done right.”
Donna listened to his explanation of the Judas tree lipstick, but it really didn’t help explain it. “Still doesn’t explain why she would be wearing it though.” Donna sighed, she hated not knowing anything. Nothing seemed to be adding up, and that made her more frustrated than anything. She could easily remember her last conversation with Rose.

“Donna I need to go somewhere tomorrow.”
“Alright, keep your phone on in case.” Donna sighed back as she beat on the computer for the 10th time that day.
“Can you please come with me.” Her tone sounded nervous, Donna looked up.
“Everything alright then?” Donna went to stand next to her, but Rose wouldn’t come near her.
“Yeah, just please come.”
“Rose I can’t. I’ve got all this paper work and then I’ve got to take Mel and kay to the Doctors. Take someone else.”
“Never mind.” Rose then ran out of the room, and that was the last time they ever spoke to each other.
****************
Coming out of her day dream, fresh tears had flown down her cheeks. Quickly wiping them, she looked back at him confused yet determined. “So someone tried to slow down her heart, but the Judas tree poison would have killed her? Is instant or take time to take over. If that’s the case then it’ explains why she was driving and crashed. Still not making sense though, if they wanted her dead, why not just do it there?” Unless it was a sign. A sign for him. Taking in a deep breath, Donna pushed that thought to the back of her mind but failed. It’s then she looked into his eyes, “Do you think this is a sign for you, cause if it is, they may come after Martha and Me. I won’t let them hurt my kids Doctor, not again.”

The Doctor ran his hands through his hair as he tried to think it through. Who would have possibly done this to her? Donna was right, there could very well be a chance that this was a sign for him. How disturbing, that someone would even…
“Donna. I won’t let them hurt your children,” he said quietly before walking circles around the console as he thought, murmuring out loud. “Who would do this? Why was already figured out, at least, the reason that makes the most sense at this time. Lipstick, where would she get lipstick from? Her mother? Someone very well could have tricked Jackie. Not too hard, actually.”
Then an idea struck through the Doctor’s mind, one so disturbing that it made him physically sick. He grabbed onto the console and shook his head. No, there could be no way that he would ever be involved.
“Unless it was the Metacrisis,” he whispered, pain cracking his voice as he peered over at Donna. “Has anything been odd with him lately? I want you to search him, Donna. See who he’s been talking to, where he’s been. He damn well could have met with the wrong person and been influenced. That’s all he is, really. He’s an influential being molded from both you and me.”
